We will go over the following topics:

Yext Pricing Summary

Yext pricing for Small Businesses, Resellers, and Enterprises infographic.

If you don't have time to go deep into Yext pricing plans, here's a quick summary:

πŸ‘‰ How much does Yext cost for small-medium businesses?
  • The basic 2 plans just add your listing to a few local directories.
  • If you upgrade to the Complete Plan for $499/year, you can publish data to all your listings.
  • The Premium Plan for $999/year additionally lets you keep an eye on your reviews and showcase them on your website.

πŸ‘‰ Yext Reseller Pricing:
  • The Yext Partner program is only open to big agencies. (100+ clients)
  • As a Reseller Partner, they will give you a big discount. But they also set a limit on the price you can resell the service to your clients.
  • If you only have a few clients, you can simply purchase a plan and begin offering listing management services.

πŸ‘‰ Yext Enterprise Pricing:
  • Yext offers features like enterprise search, listings, and reputation management to enterprises.
  • There's no publicly available information about the enterprise plans, Yext only dishes out custom quotes to the big dogs in the corporate world.

Now that you have a fair idea about how much Yext costs. Let's jump in a little deeper to understand if it's plans would work out for you.

How much does Yext cost for Small Businesses?

4 Yext Small Business plans.

Let's discuss each Yext plan in detail. If you want the official source, you can jump to this Yext pricing page.

Yext Pricing Plan for Local Business #1 - Emerging

The Emerging Yext plan may seem like a steal at just $199/year per location, but it's pretty useless.

Sure, you'll get listed on some lesser-known local directories like EZLocal and eLocal, but the big players like Google and Yelp are nowhere to be found.

It's like trying to win a marathon by only training on a treadmill. You're better off investing in a plan that lists your business on the platforms that matter.

Yext Pricing Plan for Local Business #2 - Essential

The cost of Yext Essential plan is $449/year for each location.

It will list your business on all the major directories like Google, Yelp, and Facebook, but that's about it. You won't be able to use it to publish data to all your listings.

It's basically just creating the listings and then charging you an annual maintenance fee of $449. So, unless you're okay with paying recurring fees for something you could do yourself, I'd suggest looking into other options.

Yext Pricing Plan for Local Business #3 - Complete

This is the first usable(complete?) Yext plan.

The cost of Yext Complete package is $499 per year, it includes all the features of the Essential + Emerging plan, such as listing your business on major directories like Google, Yelp, and Facebook.

It also allows you to publish data directly to your listings from the its dashboard which is a great way to streamline your listing management.

But if you're looking to boost your search rankings, you'll want to consider upgrading to the Premium plan for review management capabilities.

Yext Pricing Plan for Local Business #4 - Premium

The only Yext Plan that helps with both listings and review management.

The cost of Yext Premium package is $999 a year, per location, you'll have access to everything in the Complete Package, plus the added bonus of easy review monitoring and showcasing on your website. That's almost $90 a month, just to keep your listings and reviews in check.

But there are better Yext alternatives out there like ReviewGain that charge $79 for up to 20 locations to get more reviews, handle bad reviews quickly and market your reviews.

Can you try Yext for free?
There is no Yext free trial but you can get a free check-up for your business with a free health scan. But don't expect it to work miracles - you'll have to upgrade to a paid plan to build more listings. Plus, they'll throw in a complimentary training session when you upgrade.

Is Yext Worth it for Small Businesses?
Meme showing that ReviewGain's pricing is way better than Yext.

Yext is too expensive for what it does.

Save your money and skip the Essential and Emerging plans, you can list yourself on those sites for free.

Complete Yext Package might be worth it if you're constantly updating your business information, but $90/month/location for both review and listing management is highway robbery.

Try ReviewGain for better reputation management options for single and multi-location businesses at a fraction of the cost- starting at $49/month. Trust me, it's worth a look.

Yext Reseller Pricing

Yext's reseller pricing plans.

You can become a Certified Reseller Partner if you've 100+ clients. They will offer you discounted plans to resell to your clients, but there are a few catches, let's chat about the details below.

Btw, you can also resell Yext through multiple partners like Vendasta and GoHighLevel? Let's talk pricing for those too.

Some of the pricing info I describe below is unofficial (still trusted!) since Yext keeps their agency pricing a secret. If you want to jump to the official pricing, you can visit the Yext Partner page.

How much does Yext cost for Small Agencies?

If you have a small number of clients, you can still resell Yext packages at a discounted price.

Here's the 4-step secret recipe:
  • Contact a Yext rep.
  • Tell them to set up a Yext plan for your clients (or multiple accounts if you need separate ones for each client)
  • Ask for a 10% discount for doing the setup through a rep.
  • Voila! You now have a Yext plan for your clients and you're ready to offer listings and review management services at a discounted price.

How much does Yext cost for Certified Partners?

If you have a big enough client base, you can become a Certified Partner.

The pricing for certified partners is at a big discount. They offers certified partners a juicy discount on pricing, but it's a secret. It's anywhere between 20-50% off.

Just keep in mind, they also place a cap on how much you can charge your clients for reselling.

How much does Yext cost for Reseller Partners?

If you're a big agency and already use a platform like Vendasta or GoHighLevel, your best bet is to resell through these platforms. They will get you much better discounts compared to reselling Yext directly.

The cost of Yext through GoHighLevel is just $90 for 3 months instead of the usual $999 annual contract.

If you buy Yext through Vendasta, you can sell the Complete Package to your clients with 100% whitelabel at a discounted price.

Can Resellers try Yext for free?
There is no Yext free trial for resellers or whitelabel. Talk about a bummer!

Yext Reseller Package Add-Ons
Optional Add-Ons available for Yext Resellers.

If you're a Partner, you can choose to resell some add-ons too. They provide add-ons like Review Response that help your clients quickly respond to reviews. Of course, there's a price for each of these add-ons too, which again isn't public.

Final Verdict on Yext Reseller Pricing for Agencies

Meme showing ReviewGain is better than Yext for local marketing agencies.
If you're already using Vendasta or GoHighLevel, reselling Yext packages might be worth the price. Otherwise, it's cheaper to hire a VA to create listings for your clients.

Many other companies like ReviewGain and Brightlocal also offer citation-building services for just $3/site as a one-time fee. For me, it doesn't make sense to pay a recurring $500/year when there are more affordable options available.

Also, if you want to offer reputation management services to your clients, ReviewGain whitelabel offers seats starting at just $25/month for each client. No annual $1000 contacts like Yext.

Yext Enterprise Pricing

Yext enterprise features with free trial info.

Yext Enterprise Pricing is completely custom.

Here's a quick breakdown of it's enterprise features:
  • Search: The solution for giving your website visitors the answers they want, without the hassle of sorting through a bunch of links. They offer a 15-day trial for Yext Search too.
  • Pages: With Yext Pages, you can build pages for anything and everything, from FAQs to menus to physicians, all in one place and easily manageable, just like how you manage to keep your room clean (sometimes)
  • Listings: Keeping your listings clean and organized across 175+ platforms, makes it easier for your customers to find you.
  • Reviews: Stay on top of what customers are saying about your business with Yext Reviews, so you can quickly respond and never miss an opportunity to make a good impression
To be honest, I'm not entirely sure about the Yext cost for big companies since they only give out personalized quotes for them.

These features may be overkill for small-medium businesses and marketing agencies. Save your money and stick to the basics - no need to break the bank for features you don't need.

How to cancel your Yext subscription?

Cancel subscription option inside Yext's account settings.

If you're already using a Yext plan for yourself or your clients and things go sideways, it's useful to know how you can cancel your subscription.

Here's the 3-step cancellation process:
  • Go to Account Settings inside the platform.
  • Go to Your Subscriptions and click on Cancel Subscriptions.
  • Confirm your choice and click on Cancel.

What happens when you cancel Yext?

A man nervous about canceling Yext in fear that it might make his listings disappear.

Let's say you've built listings on local directories through Yext and updated your info, what happens once you cancel?

One of 3 things could happen to your listings:
  • They disappear.
  • They revert to their pre-Yext state.
  • They remain the same.
When you cancel, your listings disappear faster than a cheap magic trick. They either disappear or go back to their pre-Yext state, leaving you with outdated or deleted information.

Save yourself the headache and use a citation-building service like ReviewGain. One-time fee, manual creation, and you get your control back. Yext is like a shady landlord holding your listings hostage and then charging you a maintenance fee.

Is Yext Worth It for Local Businesses
or Local Marketing Agencies?
Man saying No.

Short answer, NO! Check out this review by Daniel who owns a small marketing agency:

β€œFor the price, I just don't see the value, the vast majority of the search engines and directories they list are useless, especially for small businesses.” ― Daniel H.

Slightly longer explanation:

❌ Expensive listings: Yext's most powerful feature is its citation-building feature, but will it cost you an arm and a leg at $499/year. Especially if you don't change basic information on your listings regularly.

❌ Annual contracts: Yext loves (read forces) annual contracts, it doesn't offer the flexibility that you might need.

❌ Tailored towards big agencies: Yext behaves like a fancy restaurant, only catering to big agencies with 100+ clients. Smaller agencies need not apply.

❌ Atrocious customer support: They doesn't have time to respond to your issues. You can only file support tickets which they'll take weeks to respond on. If you want to talk to a real person, you'll have to pay extra.

❌ Your listings are not yours: They will hold your listings hostage. They will disappear as soon as you stop working with them.

To conclude, Yext is a bit of a bully. This review by Paul will just drive my point home:

β€œThey have you at a disadvantage and they know it. They don't do a lot of SEO the 'right' way and just shortcut by feeding directly into search engine APIs. But this means if you ever stop working with them, your progress instantly vanishes.” ― Paul N. (Director of Marketing)

What's the Alternative?

Meme showing reviewgain is better than yext.

I've talked about that before in our top 7 Yext alternatives blog.

Quick summary: If you're a marketing agency or a small-medium business owner, your best bet is to choose a tool that is designed for your needs.

For small-business owners, ReviewGain has local SEO plans starting at just $49/month. For local agencies, we have 100% whitelabel local SEO plans starting at just $25/month.
